External Links Statement

On this site, we may provide links to web pages that are not part of this website.

These sites are managed by organisations, companies or individuals not under our control, and OBOS NSW is not responsible for the information or links you may find there. OBOS NSW provides these links merely as a convenience and the presence of these links is not an OBOS NSW endorsement of those sites.

When a user has clicked on a link to another site, they leave the Making Multicultural Australia Website site and are no longer protected by the OBOS NSW Privacy conditions.

Website Use Statement

We may collect and store information for statistical purposes. For example, we may count the number of visitors to the different sections of our site to help us make them more useful to visitors. Our server logs record such things as the user's IP address, the date and time of the visit to the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the previous site visited and the type of browser used.

No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect our server logs. This information is analysed frequently to determine the site's usage statistics.

By sending us an electronic mail message, you may be sending us personal information (eg name, address, email address). We may store this information provided by you in order to respond to the request or to otherwise resolve the subject matter of your email. The email address and the contents of your email are stored in a secure area within our system and will not be used for any other purpose nor disclosed without your consent.

Information for Users with Visual Disabilities

Images

Images on our website are accompanied by alternative text describing graphics. ALT-text on graphics that are used to create page design are simply left blank in accordance with current practice.

Portable document format (PDF) documents

We are committed to making the documents on our website accessible to the widest possible audience. Documents on our website are presented in many formats. These formats are generally accessible to users using screen reading software. Many files are posted as PDF (Portable Document Format) files. We appreciate the efforts of Adobe and other developers to address the accessibility issues concerning PDF files. As technology develops we look forward to being able to offer 'fully' accessible PDF files on our website.

In cases where we are providing PDF files without an alternative web version or Microsoft Word document version, users with visual disabilities can access free services from Adobe which will make reading PDF files easier.

You have the option of going to Adobe's Access website and using their online PDF conversion tool. This will convert a PDF file to HTML (web page) on-the-fly. Enter the web address of the PDF file and Adobe's Access server will download the PDF document, translate it and return it to you in your web browser.

Another option is to use Adobe's PDF Conversion by Email Attachment, sending the document as an email attachment. The server will then translate the PDF file or files into either a web page or a text (ASCII) document.

General

If you use automatic language translation services in connection with this website you do so at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the translation by independent verification.
