Victoria's experience of cultural diversity has often been demonstrated in and through the arts. From performances such as those created at La Mama and Boite, through the music of Mix It Up, the photography of Emmanuel Santos, the novels of Christos Tsiolkas, to the Heidelberg School paintings of Louis Abrahams and Jane Sutherland , the work of thousands of Victorians from culturally diverse backgrounds has helped shape the way Victorians think of and express themselves.
